Daniel is a senior associate at Browne Jacobson, specialising in financial services regulation with experience working both in private practice and in-house for FCA authorised firms.
Daniel is experienced in advising clients and businesses on a range of regulatory matters including the FCA regulatory perimeter, applications for authorisation and variations of permissions, financial promotions, appointed representative agreements, and on regulatory regimes including the Consumer Duty and the Senior Managers and Certification Regime. He also supports corporate clients on regulatory matters arising from M&A transactions, including due diligence reports, warranties and indemnities, and supporting with s.178 Change in Control notifications.
He has experience in dealing with regulatory investigations, notifications and interventions including s.166 Skilled Person reviews. Financial sectors in which he is experienced include consumer credit, cryptoassets, insurance, and payments services and electronic money, in particular in relation to open banking.
Daniel has significant experience in litigation and disputes, handling a wide variety of matters including professional indemnity claims, Financial Ombudsman Service complaints, insurance coverage disputes, and High Court litigation involving disputed lending claims.
