Bethany is a Senior Associate in our Education Team specialising in data protection and freedom of information advice. Bethany regularly advises on all aspect of data protection compliance that relate to the education sector including subject access requests, data breach management, data protection impact assessments, policy and procedure drafting and audit preparation.
Bethany has a wide range of experience in advising clients across a variety of sectors in relation to data protection law. Having worked for both commercial and public sector clients, Bethany has worked on all sides of data protection compliance advice and uses this experience to provide well-rounded advice on a subject which is often considered as technical and complex in a way which is straightforward and easy to understand.
Bethany’s passion for advising on education law is demonstrated by her contributions to the education sector, including having co-authored two legal textbooks on GDPR for Schools and Homeworking and the Law and contributing to the DfE’s GDPR Toolkit in a former role.
Bethany holds the Practitioner Certificate in Data Protection, regularly speaks at regional conferences and delivers training and webinars for education clients.
