Alexander Harris

Alex has more than 20 years’ City experience advising on a huge variety of real estate transactions and regularly advises global fashion and beauty brands on their real estate and concession requirements in England with a focus on the London luxury retail sector. Alex regularly advises on the commercial aspects of concession agreements with the leading departments stores in London and other major UK cities.   

Alex also has considerable experience advising national freight and logistics clients. Having spent 15 years at one of the largest law firms in the world, Alex has worked on a broad and varied range of commercial real estate transaction and projects working with a huge array of household names and now with a particular focus on retail, occupiers, landlord and tenant transactional work, acquisitions and disposals in both the private and public sectors. During his career Alex has worked with an enviable list of landlords, tenants, retailers, developers, high net worth individuals, energy providers, rail operators, public bodies and banks.  

Alex has worked on a large number of transactions in the pre-eminent shopping districts of London. Many of the transactions Alex works on are confidential and all clients he works with require anonymity.  

Recent work includes: 

• advising on occupational requirements for flagship stores on New Bond Street 

• advising on relocation of flagship stores to new location 

• arrangements regarding temporary stores whilst flagship stores are refurbished 

• advising on legal aspects of store refurbishments and extensions 

• regularly advising overseas brands on their first entry into the UK market
