Beth is an associate in the banking and finance team based in Manchester. She acts for both borrowers and lenders on a wide variety of debt financing including acquisition finance, real estate finance, debt restructuring and general corporate lending. Beth’s most recent experience includes advising corporate clients and high street lenders on management buy outs and debt restructurings.  

Beth joined the firm in 2016 and has been part of the banking and finance team since taking on a paralegal role in late 2017. During her time with the team, Beth has witnessed significant growth across the Nottingham, Birmingham and Manchester offices, qualifying into the Manchester team herself in early 2021. Since qualifying she has played a leading role in advising Homes England on their lending under the Home Building Fund and has acted on several high-profile acquisitions. 

Outside of day-to-day transactions, Beth is a key member of the firm’s FAIRE programme and is passionate about improving access to law for those that come from disadvantaged backgrounds. Beth speaks regularly at local universities and recruitment events about her own career journey and experience and supports the firm with its passion for the promotion of social mobility in the workplace.

Advised the Health & Social Care Team at Virgin Money on its funding to the New Reflexions group - a provider of specialist care, education and therapy for looked after children in locations across the UK - to support the business with its future growth aspirations.

Welsh European Funding Office

Advised the Welsh European Funding Office on a significant £31m funded tidal energy project – likely the last grant of this size from the EU’s regional funding programme – awarded to Morlais infrastructure project and led by the Mentor Mon Group.
