During October the UK celebrates Black history. The main aims of the month are to celebrate the achievements and contributions of Black people not just in the UK, but throughout the world and to educate on Black history.
Browne Jacobson’s own celebration of Black History Month will also underpin and highlight the commitments made in our newly launched National Powerhouse strategy for an equal, fair and inclusive workplace and society.
In this webinar, Author of 100 Great Black Britons Angelina Osborne talks about Black historical figures throughout the decades.
Angelina will be joined by co-author and activist Patrick Vernon OBE, named as one of 40 activists shaping the future and giving us hope (Vogue 2020). Also, a film maker and cultural historian, he runs his own social enterprise promoting the history of diverse communities. In discussion they will explain why they wanted to write the book and how the featured 100 were chosen followed by a Q&A.
Our Webinar aims to raise awareness and understanding of why, where and how Black History Month is celebrated around the world. Learn how you can advocate change, challenge discrimination, and promote equality and inclusion.
