Nick is a Senior Associate in Browne Jacobson’s London office. He specialises in managing and resolving complex commercial disputes and investigations. He is recommended by the legal directories for commercial litigation and international arbitration.
Nick has a broad commercial disputes practice, with a particular focus on contractual disputes, tech/crypto disputes and civil fraud/asset recovery.
He advises international businesses and corporates in the energy, commodities, financial services, shipping and technology sectors, as well as high-net-worth individuals. He has acted for clients across Europe, the Middle East, Asia, the USA, South America and Africa. His matters frequently require strategic consideration of cross-border issues. He has expertise in cases involving conflict of laws, service of documents overseas, jurisdiction challenges, foreign law, requests for evidence overseas and enforcement.
Nick has advised on claims in the High Court and appeals to the Court of Appeal and the Supreme Court of the United Kingdom. He has experience conducting arbitrations under the LCIA rules. He often assists clients with court applications related to arbitration proceedings (such as to challenge, set aside or enforce arbitral awards). Nick joined Browne Jacobson in 2025, having previously worked in the London office of global law firm Ontier.

Multi-party commercial fraud claim
Acted for two (of more than 40) defendants in their defence of claims arising from allegations of fraud and corruption made against the late former director of the body responsible for the Kuwaiti social security and pension fund (PIFSS). The total amount in dispute was alleged to be over £1.2 billion.
Energy price arbitration
Advised a European multi-national in an LCIA arbitration to determine the disputed price for the delivery and acceptance of natural gas under an EFET General Agreement.
Challenge to arbitral award
Acted for an East-Asian shipyard in defending court proceedings seeking to challenge the jurisdiction of an LMAA tribunal.
Complex contempt of court application
Acted for a European bank in an application seeking committal of an individual for contempt of court for allegedly making false statements in court documents.
