This on-demand video is the latest in our series looking at how the education sector is rising to the challenge and should look forward with optimism.

The pandemic has shone a real light on the use of EdTech in the education sector as well the digital strategies in play, and so in this webinar we will explore the role of digital transformation on our education system. It is tempting to think that the focus on digital strategies is a result of the pandemic, but as you will hear from our panel there are pioneers in the sector who have been developing their digital strategies long before 2020.

In this panel discussion, Nick MacKenzie is joined by:

  • Graham Feek - Deputy Chief Executive, Greenwood Academies Trust
  • Stephen Sanderson - CIO, Greenwood Academies Trust
  • Jennifer King - UK Schools Engagement Lead, Microsoft
  • Ian Livingstone CBE - Chairman, Sumo Group PLC
  • Sir Mark Grundy - CEO, Shireland Collegiate Academy Trust.

The panel will look beyond the debate to what collectively we could call 'delivery systems' and focus on the role of effective digital strategies in delivering on the essence of what education is for and about. We will hear from our expert panel about the existing innovations and strategies they are leading on in the system, as well as exploring with them their views as to what our schools system should be prioritising going forward.

As a follow-up to this session, on the 23 February Nick MacKenzie and our intellectual property and commercial law expert Selina Hinchcliffe will look at how trusts can roll out and generate value from the digital assets they create.
