National law firm Browne Jacobson has achieved rankings in 32 key specialist areas according to Chambers UK, one of the UK’s leading independent directories of comparative law firm performance.

Overall, the firm maintained its first and second rankings in 16 specialist areas, with seven of these categorised as Band 1. The firm also has a new entry for Corporate / M&A: Mid-Market and Private Equity – West Midlands (Band 3). The firm also improved its Midlands ranking status for its Information Technology expertise.

The latest directory also rated 63 lawyers as ‘leading individuals’ with five of these appearing in more than one specialist area.

Commenting on the rankings, Caroline Green, Senior Partner at the firm said:

“We are delighted with the very strong rankings we have received from Chambers, particularly since these rankings have been influenced by feedback from our clients. It is also good to see that a large number of our lawyers across our office network have been recognised as “leading individuals” which reflects our commitment to offering the highest levels of tailored service, sector expertise and quality client service. Our focus for next year is to ensure that even more of our impressive lawyers receive appropriate recognition.”

Rankings in Chambers UK are based on extensive research, including interviews with and feedback from both clients and private practice lawyers, to identify those firms and practitioners who are providing cutting edge and innovative advice to their clients.
