Browne Jacobson’s Mark Blois named in 'Disability Power 100'
The Shaw Trust ‘Disability Power 100’ list is an annual publication recognising the successes and influence of 100 individuals, disabled or living with an impairment, who through their example are inspiring others to achieve their full potential, regardless of disability or impairment.
Browne Jacobson’s National Head of Education Mark Blois has been named in the 'Disability Power 100' for 2021.
The Shaw Trust ‘Disability Power 100’ list is an annual publication recognising the successes and influence of 100 individuals, disabled or living with an impairment, who through their example are inspiring others to achieve their full potential, regardless of disability or impairment. The ‘Disability Power 100’ is compiled by an independent judging panel based on nominations from the public and this year the judges received over 550 nominations for the 100 spaces.
Mark, who this year marks 25 years as an education lawyer, heads up one of the UK’s leading education law teams and is ranked as one of the country’s foremost experts in his field by leading independent legal directories Legal 500 and Chambers & Partners UK.
Under his leadership, his 70-strong team provide legal and HR support to over 1300 education clients nationally every year. He has recently completed ten years as the Chair of the L.E.A.D Academy Trust, a 25 academy trust educating over 10,500 pupils, and was also recently appointed as a ‘National Leader of Governance’ by the Department for Education, the only lawyer to have been so designated.
Mark also seeks to advocate for equal opportunities for those wishing to pursue a career in the law through his role as a committee member of the Law Society’s Lawyers with Disabilities Division and as a Trustee of the National Association of Special Educational Needs he is supporting and promoting the development of children & young people with special educational needs and disabilities in educational settings.
