Law firm Browne Jacobson has announced plans to move its Exeter office to The Mount.

The national firm, which also has offices in Birmingham, London, Manchester and Nottingham, has agreed on 2700 sq feet of Grade A high performance office space.

The Mount, located on Paris Street in the heart of Exeter, will allow the firm to implement an agile working environment. The lease also extends to a lower ground floor space which is a shared space used for informal private meetings and social activities.

The decision by Browne Jacobson to relocate its 40 strong staff from its current premises at Manor Court follows a period of sustained growth and coincides with its plans to expand its service offering in the South West, further grow its headcount and continue to deliver exceptional client service.

Since opening its Exeter office the firm has seen overall headcount grow by 60 per cent and revenues grow by almost 50% in the last three years alone.

Iain Blatherwick, Managing Partner at Browne Jacobson, said:

“This is an exciting chapter for our business in the South West. It demonstrates our commitment to provide our people and our clients with a modern, dynamic and innovative working environment and demonstrates our confidence in the future growth plans for the office.”

Julia Green, Partner and Head of the Exeter office, added:

“After seven years at Manor Court the time was right to move to premises that better supports our needs and can match our ambitious growth plans.

“It was also important that we maintained a strong presence in the heart of the city which is why this new location, adjacent to the exciting new bus station redevelopment, was the perfect choice.

“The new office space supports our innovative, vibrant, collaborative and flexible ethos and provides a first class working environment for our clients and our people.

“There is a wonderful co-working vibe about the building and it feels like a real community which will enable us to work collaboratively across our teams and the business community based there as we continue to invest in our health, insurance, education and government and infrastructure offering whilst broadening our expertise in areas such as commercial, technology and rural estates.”
