delivering leisure facilities in a post-Covid world

20 January 2021

2:00pm - 3:00pm

The provision of local authority led leisure services has never been under more pressure than it is today. The question of how these can be delivered in a post Covid world is one that a number of local authorities are grappling with.

The route that is often chosen is the establishment of a leisure trust but what does that practically mean for local authorities and what do they need to be aware of from a charity law perspective.

This session will look at:

  • The local authority considerations and in particular give practical guidance on the implications of being a registered charity
  • What that means for the local authority, the trustees and trusts themselves.

We hope you can join us for this virtual question and answer session where you will hear from Peter, Catherine and Alex. You will also have the opportunity to ask questions.
