Covid-19: managing risks to your business - business unusual part 2

Monday 20th April 2020

2.30pm - 3.15pm

We are pleased to invite you to the third webinar in our Covid-19 series, where a number of key members of the team will be providing further analysis of the practical issues surrounding operating a business in a remote working world. Notably, this will allow clients across both the public and private sectors to raise any questions and hear from others facing similar challenges and issues.

Richard Nicholas will be chairing the discussion. The speakers will provide updates on the current position and recommendations - with examples - on how to avoid and minimise the risk of adverse consequences flowing from Covid-19.

  • HR issues & Employment matters update by Ian Deakin
Ian will talk about a range of issues including: the latest updates on government support for businesses and issues surrounding potential redundancies.
  • Licensing, standards and liabilities by Selina Hinchliffe
Selina will talk about the challenges businesses face when adapting their business models to comply with social distancing, including: the IP concerns, personal data considerations and liability issues if now providing services online; ensuring compliance with food hygiene and environmental standards; and knock on insurance questions to consider.
  • Health & Safety issues by Andrew Hopkin
Andrew will provide examples of Health and Safety issues employers need to be mindful of including: the regulators’ position on inspection and enforcement during the lockdown; obligations to maintain premises that may be empty; requirements for premises where staff are onsite; and obligations to staff working from home.
