Michaela is an associate in our admin law, environment and planning team.
Michaela specialises in environmental and planning law and advises statutory nature conservation bodies, local planning authorities, other public bodies, non-departmental government bodies, registered providers, and developers on their environmental and planning obligations.
Having worked for the Local Authority for a few years before joining Browne Jacobson, Michaela is passionate about meeting the key concerns and priorities that the public sector may face on a day-to-day basis. Equally, Michaela thrives on ensuring that all her clients’ expectations are satisfied. Her primary objective is to give her clients the exceptional service they are looking for.

Supported a number of local planning authorities to secure a number of financial contributions, Open Space and Affordable Housing obligations in relation to Section 106 Agreements pursuant to the Town and Country Planning Act 1990 to mitigate the impact of large and moderate-sized residential developments.

Advised a range of developers on various other planning legal agreements such as unilateral undertakings and planning agreements pursuant to section 38 Highways Act 1980, section 104 Water Industry Act 1991, Section 185 Water Industry Act 1991.
