Bobby is the industry-aligned expert for the technology sector at Browne Jacobson. He brings a wealth of experience across Technology, IP licensing, strategic partnerships, as well as M&A and PMI in the sector, having executed on some landmark transactions. He brings in-depth expertise in innovation strategies, technology commercialisation and deployment.

Bobby began his career as an engineer at Sony semiconductor’s R&D division, and later at PlayStation R&D, where he played a pivotal role in the initial launch of the PlayStation online platform and was instrumental in some of the early strategic alliances that led to the global PlayStation Network of today. He also led the acquisition and subsequent post-merger integration of SN Systems (UK) into SCEI, the largest ever acquisition by PlayStation at the time.

He then transitioned to investment banking at Mizuho Financial Group to spearhead the expansion of Mizuho’s cross-border M&A Advisory business across the globe. During his tenure, he led and executed some of the largest cross-border transactions in the TMT sector, as well as notable transactions in the renewable energy and pharmaceuticals space, in addition to creating and running the India desk.

Following a stint at the UK Government, Bobby founded AIMS – a technology agnostic platform for location-based-authentication, tying blockchain principles, distributed AI and edge-computing to solutions where trusted geolocation is key to their delivery. Together with his background in gaming, IP licensing, imaging & semiconductors, he is acknowledged for his broad command of DLT & blockchain, distributed-computing, AI, mobile communications, IoT and geolocation technologies.

He currently advises on cross-border expansion, growth strategies, global strategic partnerships & alliances, and M&A across a diverse range of technology spheres
