Insurer Insight event

4pm - 5.30pm followed by networking

Developed for insurers, this exclusive series of events will provide you with operational and practical insights from across the legal spectrum.

We recognise that being a trusted advisor to your clients requires you to stay ahead of the game. Insurer Insight will equip you with up to the minute knowledge and awareness of the most talked about trends and developments in the sector.

  • Silent cyber – Tim Johnson
Following the recent ‘Dear CEO’ letter from the PRA and the Lloyd’s mandate that silent cyber exposures be identified and addressed, insurers must now identify those areas where their policy wordings are not clear on cyber exposures, and to address them accordingly. We will explore the PRA and Lloyd’s requirements and share some tips on how to identify and deal with silent cyber exposures (and the potential consequences of not doing so!)
  • Conduct and behaviour - Jeremy Irving
In this session we will focus on the FCA’s Dear CEO letter published in the week of 6 January 2020. We will explore the concept of ‘good insurance business’ and its different aspects, especially regulators’ views on the proportionate relationship between strong ethical standards and strong commercial and financial results.
  • IR35 – Ian Deakin
April 2020 is looming and for large and medium sized companies in the private sector, the new IR35 rules and regulations should be a priority. Naturally, the Insurance sector is no exception to this. Hear from our employment law experts as they discuss the essential steps to take now and the implications of not understanding the necessary changes to ensure compliance.

The event will be followed by networking drinks. We do hope you can join us.
