Browne Jacobson expands its professional indemnity practice with duo hire

Browne Jacobson has broadened its insurance offering in the South West with the appointment of two specialist professional indemnity lawyers.

Partner Gary Oldroyd and Associate Claire Cornish, who have both come from Bond Dickinson, join the firm’s insurance practice in Exeter.

Gary has over 20 years’ experience in professional negligence litigation, coverage, disciplinary matters and risk management. He experience includes dealing with some of the most high profile and complex claims against the solicitors' profession including claims arising out of the downfall of the ‘After The Event’ (ATE) market, the 2008 lending crisis and cyber fraud. 

Independent legal directory, Chambers & Partners currently ranks Gary in Band 1 in the South West for his work on professional negligence (mainly defendant).

Claire, who qualified in 2000, specialises in the defence of professional negligence claims against solicitors, accountants and surveyors. She also advises insurers in respect of policy coverage.
