top PI award for Browne Jacobson

1 December 2015
SAlly Swift PIA Awards

Browne Jacobson’s technical claims and social care team have scooped a national award at the Eclipse Proclaim Personal Injury Awards 2015.

Sally Swift, Legal Services Manager at Browne Jacobson’s Nottingham office, beat off competition from Carter Law Solicitors LLP and Spencers Solicitors to receive the award of ‘Practice/Operations Manager of the Year’.

The annual black tie event at St Paul’s Hotel in London highlights and celebrates the high practicing standards of organisations and individuals across the personal injury claims sector.

The judging panel, which comprised CEO of FOIL Laurence Besemer, who acted as the Chair and Donna Scully who holds a seat on the advisory board of the Insurance Times’ Fraud Charter praised Sally for her commitment and dedication to the firm and in particular spearheading the firm’s highly successful apprenticeship scheme.

Sally’s career in claimant and defendant management spans over 23 years. Whilst at Browne Jacobson she has driven and coordinated the firm’s very successful apprenticeship scheme in partnership with Vision and CILEx which was launched three years ago.

She has also played a key role in working with BIS, the DoE, and Skills for Justice alongside other UK law firms on the Trailblazers Apprenticeship in Law initiative, developing in partnership with bodies such as CILEx, the SRA and the Law Society.

The event was hosted by award winning comedian Stephen K Amos and Sally was presented with her award by Sue Carter, Head of Professional Services Sector UK at Yorkshire Bank.

Commenting on the win Susan Mabbott, insurance partner at Browne Jacobson, said:

“We are delighted that Sally has been recognised for her achievements and as a leading practice manager in the firm. Sally’s tireless enthusiasm for and dedication to the management and development of our team has been pivotal in transforming the way we deliver our services. She should be incredibly proud of the contribution she has made to the outstanding reputation we have built up in the personal injury field.”

Sally added:

“I am overjoyed to have received this award. It is fantastic for our team to once again be acknowledged for the dedication we have to our clients as well as the hard work and commitment we have to giving young people new opportunities within the legal sector.”
