We are pleased to invite you to join us for our popular Claims Club, which will take place in person in our Birmingham office and where we will focus on key areas of risk in the public sector and horizon scan for future risks. Following the session you are very welcome to stay for refreshments and networking.
Topics will include:
- An update on where we are with Failure to Remove cases, HRA claims in the social care arena and vicarious liability for Family Members providing fostering services, considered through the government’s reforms proposed in September 2023.
- Legal update and future risks – Patrick West from St John’s Chambers will be joining us to reflect on key legal developments over the past 12 months and to look ahead at possible future claims trends/risks to Local Authorities.
- The vexed issue of data protection, to include the continued evolution of data breach claims, current trends and risks associated with managing Subject Access Requests.
