BNG became mandatory in February 2024 – which has resulted in changes needing to be made by local authorities to policies, processes and decision making throughout the planning process.
Our breakfast events will explore how the first few months of BNG have impacted local authorities and what lessons can be learnt.
- We will explore how mandatory BNG is going:
- What lessons have been learnt in the past few months?
- What questions are still outstanding?
- Where challenges have arisen, how they have been navigated?
- What opportunities are being explored?
We will consider the different capacities that local authorities are working in:
- When determining planning applications and approving gain plans;
- Acting as the enforcement body;
- As landowners; and
- As developers.
These sessions will be hosted by Helen Gill, who previously worked on the development of BNG for Natural England, and Jonathan Allen, Partner in our Planning and Environment team. Choose from either location and RSVP now to avoid missing out.
Our in-person and online events are designed exclusively for clients and targets. As such, we reserve the right to cancel bookings. If you’d like to speak to a member of the team regarding your attendance, please contact us.
