The new guidance was launched on 15 September at a reception at the House of Commons hosted by Neil Carmichael MP, chair of the Education Select Committee and the All-Party Parliamentary Group on Education Governance and Leadership and attended by Parliamentary Under-Secretary of State for Schools Lord Nash. The reception was sponsored by Browne Jacobson.
