Underpinning legal framework

In the context of LOtC, off-site activities and outdoor learning, legal requirements are largely defined by the interface of health and safety with employment law. The main points of statutory reference are:
  • Health and Safety at Work etc. Act (1974)
  • Management of Health and Safety at Work Regulations (1999)
  • Children Act (2004)
