Creating great places to learn and work

8 - 10 December 2020

In the last 12 months, the sector has seen its toughest challenges yet. The pandemic has turned the world upside down and we are all working in very different ways.

In response, we’re delighted to invite you to join us at EdCon 2020 - Browne Jacobson’s first virtual conference for schools and academy trusts.

Taking place over three days this December, EdCon 2020 will provide you with inspirational ideas, up-to-date advice and guidance and networking opportunities with one key purpose: creating great places to learn and work.

EdCon 2020 is designed for practising and aspiring senior leaders, HR professionals of all levels and those with specialist education roles including (but not exclusively) DSLs, DPOs, Chairs of Governing Boards and School Business Managers.

You will receive direct access to our award-winning legal and HR specialists for three days via short, engaging live keynotes and workshops. You will also benefit from access to a vast array of on-demand content for 30 days to enable you to design a programme that works around your own work and personal commitments.

So whether you join us from your office or the sofa, EdCon 2020 promises to deliver both strategic and practical solutions that can be implemented in your schools and across academy trusts. Don’t miss out!

Schedule of activity

As we now look ahead to 2021 and reflect on 2020, many organisational leaders are looking to keep hold of new practices whilst bringing back tried and tested methods in order to create great places to learn and work. Recognising this, our aim is to provide you with a learning programme that is relevant to the challenges you face today and also helps you to keep one eye on the future.

EdCon 2020 will bring you all of the high-quality content, speakers and experience of our HR for Education and Education Law Conferences in one online location.

We are busy finalising the three day programme at the moment but it will include:

  • Becoming an employer of choice
  • Covid-19 – masks, parents and remote education
  • Digital transformation
  • Effective decision-making (during Covid-19)
  • Ethical leadership in practice
  • Evidencing compliance outcomes
  • Evolving governance in a developing MAT
  • Getting exclusions right
  • Investigations - live!
  • Performance management and capability
  • Safeguarding and transferable risk
  • Setting the agenda
  • Unlocking and protecting your intellectual property

We also have some fantastic guest speakers joining us to deliver thought-provoking and inspiring keynotes, as well as practical workshops where you will have the opportunity to share your thoughts with others and go away with ideas that you could implement in your organisation.

All live sessions will be recorded and available exclusively on-demand for 30 days for all delegates.
