Teach First mentoring

Teach First recruits outstanding individuals to join its Leadership Development Programme which involves teaching for a minimum of two years, achieving a PGCE and wider leadership skills training.

Teach First trainees have a passion for social change and a desire to make an impact in the classroom of one of Teach First’s partner schools and on inequalities in education in the long-term. After the two years, more than half continue to teach within schools in low-income communities. Others continue to work towards the vision from positions within government, industry and their own social enterprises, demonstrating a life-long commitment to ending inequality in education from both inside and outside the classroom.

Browne Jacobson’s education team partners are all personally committed to contributing to Teach First’s Leadership Development Programme via one-to-one mentoring of participants to help them overcome the challenges they face and and by making presentations at workshops and reflective seminars designed to help them develop a good understanding of their strengths and areas for development.
