School Leaders Survey 2017

11 September 2017

Responses for this survey have now closed, we will be publishing the results shortly.

About the survey

Over the last five years, we have run a survey of school leaders in order to track opinion on key issues. The survey has quickly become one of the largest of its type in the sector and we would like to invite you to take part this year.

We are delighted to again be working in partnership with the Association of School and College Leaders (ASCL) to bring you the 2017 School Leaders Survey.

Survey's aim and focus

The purpose of this survey is to understand what you; the leaders of our schools and academies really think on key issues facing the education sector. This year we have decided to focus on one key issue. The past 12 months have been challenging in so many ways, not least due to the growing pressures on schools to tackle the complexities of restructuring and retention. We would like to hear about your experiences – what challenges have you faced, how has this impacted your team, how can things improve in the future? We would like to get the views from schools and trusts on these important issues from right across your school leadership team so please don’t leave it solely to your HR team to respond. As in previous years we intend to publish the results so that you, our sector partners and we can use them when talking to policy makers.

The survey is completely anonymous and confidential and should take around ten minutes to complete. We fully appreciate the considerable demands on your time; however your views and expertise would be extremely valuable.

Please share your views and join with other leaders from across the country to help shape the outcome of this survey. It will be live from 11 - 29 September 2017.
