three peaks training walk - the last step before the real thing!

17 May 2011

In just over two weeks the Browne Jacobson trainees shall be taking on the National Three Peaks Challenge to raise money for the Firm’s Charity of the year – Home Start.

This weekend 11 of us went to Snowdonia to climb Snowdon for our last training walk before the big event. We left on Friday night and stayed in a very luxurious bunkhouse. We stopped enroute to buy crucial ingredients to make bacon sandwiches for breakfast on Saturday morning as well as our supplies to give us energy walking up the mountain.

Teeming with excitement everyone was up bright and early and with bacon sandwiches on board we headed to for the foot of Snowdon where we began our assent.

At the Summit, the wind was chilling and despite being May it felt like it was below 0 degrees, however, everyone was in good spirits and as we made our way back down we were pleased to realise that we had walked well within the time we will need to achieve when we undertake the challenge.

We stopped for a pub lunch and then went our separate ways as we made our way back to Birmingham and Nottingham, tired but pleased that we were one step closer to the start of the challenge.
