Law firm wins place on Welsh procurement service panel

Browne Jacobson has secured a place on the legal services framework agreement for the Welsh Government’s National Procurement Service for Wales (NPS).

The firm’s public sector team, led by partner Richard Barlow, will advise a broad range of public sector bodies across North and South Wales including local authorities, the NHS, Welsh Government and Welsh Government sponsored bodies, the police and fire services and higher and further education in the following areas : 
  • Adult Social Services  
  • Civil Litigation  
  • Corporate Governance & Ethical Standards  
  • Employment Law  
  • Major IT & Commercial Contracts  
  • Planning & Environmental Law  
  • Property Law  
To date over 73 organisations in Wales have signed up to be part of the new NPS initiative resulting in a public sector purchasing power of over £1bn.

The National Procurement Service (NPS) for Wales will manage the procurement of goods and services across the public sector in Wales, looking to reduce expenditure whilst improving efficiency.

Richard Barlow, Head of Public Sector at Browne Jacobson, said:
