Browne Jacobson advises on £310m sale of Cromwell Group

Corporate finance lawyers at Browne Jacobson have advised the Gregory family on the sale of their business and all associated subsidiaries to an American distributor of maintenance, repair and operating products for a consideration of £310 million which completed on 1st September 2015.

Leicestershire based Cromwell was established in 1970 and is the UK’s leading independent supplier of products to a wide portfolio of markets and sectors across Europe including aviation, rail & transportation, food industries, utilities, automotive, engineering and fabrication. Operating from its head office and global distribution centre based in Leicester, Cromwell has 2,150 staff, 54 UK branches and 12 international branches.

Browne Jacobson’s corporate finance partner Gavin Cummings led the transaction, assisted by Christina O’Brien.
