Browne Jacobson completes sale of EPL Composite Solutions Limited

11 November 2014

Browne Jacobson has advised the shareholders of EPL Composite Solutions Limited on the disposal of the entire issued share capital of the company to AIM listed Haydale Graphene Industries plc.

Founded in 1992 EPL Composite Solutions is one of the worlds leading independent research and development companies specialising in the commercialisation of advanced polymer composite materials for a range of industry sectors including transportation, infrastructure, utilities, energy and marine.

South Wales based Haydale is a global leader in the development and commercialisation of graphenes and other nanomaterials. Graphene, a two-dimensional crystal of pure carbon, has exceptional physical and mechanical properties and is widely regarded as the scientific find of the century. According to Allied Market Research the global graphene market is expected to grow to 149.1 million by 2020 - a 44 yearly compound annual growth rate from 2014.

Both companies have already collaborated on a number of projects prior to the acquisition and this deal will further consolidate Haydales market leading position in this area and enable EPL to capitalise on Haydales expertise and technology in incorporating graphene and other nano enhancing fillers into composites.

Browne Jacobsons corporate finance team comprised Mark Hughes, Mike Jackson and Amy Browning.
