Browne Jacobson has advised Care Fertility Group on its acquisition of the Centre for Reproductive Medicine Ltd.
Operating since 1997, Care Fertility, with four full-service IVF clinics in Nottingham, Manchester, Northampton and Sheffield and supported by a network of nine other satellite centres, is now the largest independent provider of fertility services in the UK.
The Centre for Reproductive Medicine (CRM) London is a specialist infertility centre. CRM has an outstanding reputation for quality and success while founder Dr. Robert Forman is viewed as a leading authority on IVF treatment having been a member of the original team who pioneered the birth of the first IVF baby in 1978.
The Browne Jacobson team was led by corporate finance partner Gavin Cummings, assisted by Paul Mcannah and a team of specialist lawyers.
This is the second deal the team have acted on involving Care Fertility within 12 months. In 2012 the team advised General Healthcare Group and management on the secondary buy-out of the Care Fertility Group, backed by private equity group Bowmark Capital.
Gavin Cummings said:
"Care Fertility is committed to extending its geographic coverage and the acquisition of CRM provides an excellent platform in the key London market. We are delighted to be working with management and funders to deliver their ambitious growth plans."
