Property lawyer shows her competitive edge in Manchester triathlon triumph

27 July 2013

Property lawyerBrowne Jacobson’s property associate Kirsten Walters triumphed in the augural JLL Property Triathlon North race after she beat off competition from the other female athletes, finishing the event in 1:15:29.

Kirsten, who was joined by fellow property associate Dominic Buckley from the firm’s Manchester office, competed against 700 athletes in a 750m swim, 21km cycle and a 5km run at Media City Salford Quays Manchester.

The event, which is jointly sponsored by the Peel Group, helped to raise more than £22,000 for charities Starlight and The Christie Charitable Fund and is the sister event of the highly successful JLL Property and Triathlon and Swim which has raised £1.3 million for charity to date.

Some of the organisations taking part included the Homes and Communities Agency, Mace, Peel, Bruntwood & Manchester Airport Group.

Kirsten Walters said:

It was a really friendly, fun event to take part in and a fantastic opportunity for anyone participating in their very first triathlon. As well as being highly competitive, it was also an excellent networking opportunity by bringing so many of the region’s property professionals together in place and helping to raise thousands of pounds for two very worthwhile causes.”
