Nottingham law firm completes £30m waste business sale

Corporate law firm Browne Jacobson has completed the sale of Oakwood Fuels Limited to DCC Environmental Britain Limited, a subsidiary of DCC plc, the sales, marketing, distribution and business support services group.

DCC Environmental Britain Limited has acquired the entire issued share capital of Oakwood Fuels Limited up to £29.6m.

Oakwood Fuels Limited is a Nottinghamshire based firm employing 105 people. It collects lubricant oil and hazardous waste and converts it into processed oil which is then sold for use in a variety of applications.

The Browne Jacobson team was led by Corporate Partner Gavin Cummings, assisted by Paul McCannah.

The Sheffield office of Streets Corporate Finance also advised Oakwood Fuels on the deal.
