Completing a development agreement to tight
timescales
We had three weeks to draft, negotiate, agree and complete a
development and section 106 planning agreement for the regeneration
of a housing estate in Central London. The project was to be
delivered by a local housing association – partially on public
amenity land - over a period of 12 years in several phases. Getting
the agreement completed on time was critical to the provision of
£20m government funding without which the scheme could not
proceed.

To advise a local authority on the employment
law implications of a major restructure of their workforce.
We worked with the head of legal and democratic services to advise
on constitutional and local government issues, standing orders and
monitoring officer requirements.

Freedom of Information request from the
media
A public authority client received a
request for the disclosure of documentation under the Freedom of
Information Act from a journalist at a national newspaper.
Although the client was able to disclose much of the documentation
requested there were concerns over the disclosure of minutes from a
board meeting where a sensitive issue was discussed.
