Negotiating construction contracts for a mixed use
development
To draft construction contracts for a major
town centre re-development in Huntingdon being let in three
separate packages – each with a separate building contract and its
own consultants’ appointments. The contracts had to protect
our client, Clegg Developments Limited, be acceptable to the
consultants and contractors, and also to anticipate the likely
requirements of the funders and end users which were unknown while
the contracts were being negotiated.
