Your prospects
Many of our trainees stay with the firm after qualification, and
several of our partners trained with the firm. We recruit each
trainee on the basis that they may in future attain partnership;
for outstanding candidates the prospects are excellent.
Our considerable investment in trainees has been recognised by
LEX Magazine who, for 3 years running, have ranked us in the top 10
UK firms to train with. Ranking was based on the level of contact
trainees had with clients, support from supervisors, the level of
responsibility they receive, career development, the friendliness
of the work environment and their overall job satisfaction.
We can't make any guarantees as much depends on how you perform
and settle into the firm, however, we undertake appraisals during
and at the end each seat change, every six months, and encourage
you to discuss any concerns or training issues with your
supervising partner so this will give you some indication of how
you are performing.
Salaries are set at a very competitive level, and Browne
Jacobson meets the cost of your GDL and LPC fees and pays a
maintenance grant for both.
Other benefits include:
- competitive salary
- 34 days holiday (inclusive of statutory bank holidays) on
commencement
- private health insurance
- life assurance
- gym discounts
- childcare voucher schemes
- and other negotiated corporate discounts
After one year, we offer additional benefits including pension
and private medical insurance.
To find more about why our trainees stay with us why not meet
