Alistair Schuberth, Trainee Solicitor
"A smile, a chat or a friendly conversation is
never far away here. The atmosphere is relaxed and a spirit of
camaraderie pervades the office, and often outside during one of
the many formal or informal social gatherings that are part of the
Browne Jacobson experience."

What we look for in you
We value our trainees and see them as integral to our continued
future growth and success, and as such invest greatly in
identifying and developing individuals who are suitable both in
terms of ability and personality. Culturally, it is important that
the match is right!
It is not necessary for your degree to be law-based, however we
require individuals with high academic ability, and we would prefer
a 2:1 degree. Equally important are your personal attributes;
enthusiasm, energy and commitment, coupled with the ambition to
achieve 100% client satisfaction in everything you do. You should
have a practical approach and be able to work under pressure and to
tight deadlines when required.
You should work well in a team and you should be willing to
accept responsibility. With the appropriate supervision, we
encourage and expect our trainees to take a common sense and
commercial approach to solving our clients' legal and business
problems.
If you feel you meet the above criteria, we would love to hear
from you. Working at Browne Jacobson is a rewarding and challenging
experience.
