Browne Jacobson welcomes new addition to expanding fraud team

8 March 2010

Browne Jacobson has expanded its fraud team further with the appointment of Andy Fu.

Fu joins the team, headed up by Scott Bowers, from Keoghs where he was responsible for re-designing and developing the firm’s data matching solution to identify potentially fraudulent activity.

Prior to that Fu was a senior developer at Hill Dickinson where he worked on the firm’s front end web based counter fraud tool.

Fu’s appointment follows on from the arrival earlier this year of Max Jarlsson, a business analyst who had worked on the globally successful Hunter and Hunter II fraud detection tool.

The two appointments are in response to increasing demand for its fraud-related legal services as Scott Bowers, Head of the Counter Fraud Team at Browne Jacobson, explains

“The recent report from CIFAS shows worrying high levels of fraud so it is not surprising that many of our clients are looking to us to assist them in their fight against the fraudsters.

“Andy’s appointment is a major coup for us. His arrival will greatly enhance our counter fraud offering as we continue to develop our own innovative product to identify incidences of fraud.

“He has a proven track record in the fraud arena, having implemented specialist anti-fraud systems and databases at Keoghs and Hill Dickinson and as a result helping to recover significant sums against fraudsters on behalf of major public and private sector organisations.

“With Max's knowledge of the financial sector's counter fraud databases and now with Andy completing the picture with his knowledge of the insurance sector’s anti-fraud requirements we have a very strong technical team in place that is able to offer counter fraud solutions covering all sectors.”
