High flier strengthens Browne Jacobson’s public sector credentials

Browne Jacobson has strengthened its public sector offering with the appointment of local authority lawyer Peter Ware.

 

Previously Senior Solicitor leading the Procurement and Planning Team at Nottinghamshire County Council, Peter will join the firm’s Trade and Innovation Group as an Associate advising the firm’s public and private sector clients on procurement issues as well as local authority law in general.

 

Peter has a wealth of expertise in local government, having led on a number of flagship projects for Nottinghamshire County Council and other national bodies including the establishment of one of the first trading companies set up nationally under the Local Government Act 2003 and advising on the Connexions Nottinghamshire transition, a careers advice and guidance initiative for young people aged 11 – 19 in the city and county.

 

In addition Peter has been awarded The Town Clerks Prize for achieving one of the highest marks in the Law Society’s Diploma in Local Government Law and was shortlisted in the Solicitors in Local Government ‘Young Solicitor of the Year Award’ in 2006.
