A legal team of public sector experts caters for all the legal
requirements of Browne Jacobson’s local and central government
clients. The team fully understands the issues affecting public
authorities across all their activities, and has the experience and
depth to advise and act for them in all legal matters.
The firm actively encourages clients to participate in knowledge
and skills dissemination projects, designed to inform and empower
colleagues in public bodies on the legal aspects of their service
delivery. Dedicated specialists advise senior officers and non
executive members of public authorities.
Browne Jacobson acts for over 100 local authorities, either
directly or through their insurers, and generally on call-off
contracts awarded following public tender processes. The Firm also
acts for a number of central government departments and sponsored
bodies, again having been appointed after public procurement
procedures.
