case study - Anna Stokes
reasons why
joined:
I wanted to be in a firm that would be able to provide me with a
varied training contract. Browne Jacobson was able to provide seats
in a wide variety of areas for many different types of clients,
from NHS Trusts to multi national companies. I was impressed by how
welcoming and friendly the firm was at the open day and assessment
day.
experience gained:
I completed my first seat in technical claims in the Birmingham
office. In my second week in the department I was asked to attend
the County Court for an allocation hearing. I handled my own small
claims files from the start of the seat and was involved in
assisting fee earners on more complex claims.
I am now in my second seat in property development in
Nottingham. I have been given a wide variety of work. In particular
I have been drafting transfer documents, leases and agreement as
well as attending client meetings and providing follow up
advice.
recent
achievements:
- drafting a brief to Counsel on a complex matter and being
responsible for providing the advice to the client following the
conference.
- preparing notes for a seminar to be given to several PCT
Clients
- co-ordinating the preparation, negotiation and completion of a
lease.
