To us, diversity goes beyond ensuring equal opportunities and preventing discrimination. It is about recognising the strengths and qualities unique to you and ensuring you have the opportunity to learn, develop and to be treated with dignity and respect. Confident that we are doing the right things and keen to improve, we are signatories to the Law Society diversity and inclusion charter.

Here are some of the things in which we are involved:

  • being positive about disabled people, being Job Centre two ticks scheme accredited
  • supporting working mums-to-be through the Tommy’s pregnancy accreditation scheme
  • ensuring access to development for all our people is taken seriously, recognising that our strength stems from our people; reflected in our long standing IIP status and industry awards
  • transparent approach to diversity, proudly publishing our annual diversity statistics and benchmarking across the legal industry
  • regularly auditing pay, promotion and demographics; our equal pay and diversity audit has run annually since 2002
  • working with local schools to promote legal careers for those with underprivileged backgrounds
  • promoting work in the local communities to educate against stereotypes
  • equal opportunities promoted to our suppliers, including recruitment agencies
  • providing comprehensive training to the whole firm on an annual basis
  • achieving an honourable mention in the recent diversity and inclusion charter annual report
