Onwards and upwards for Browne Jacobson

Midlands law firm Browne Jacobson has further improved its
position in the West Midlands legal market by achieving a range of
impressive rankings in top legal directory, Legal 500.
The firm achieved new entries in the areas of
corporate tax, information technology and property litigation and
moved up the rankings for its public sector (health) and commercial
property practice areas. It has also consolidated its rankings from
last year’s edition in banking and finance, corporate and
commercial, employment, clinical negligence (defendant) (retaining
their position on the top spot for the seventh successive year),
personal injury (defendant), professional negligence, and
intellectual property.
The firm has only had a Birmingham presence
since 1999 but significant growth in the past two years since its
move to Victoria Square House has seen the firm double in size with
a headcount of over 100 including 14 partners. Turnover for the
office has also increased at a rapid rate, this year reaching
£7.4million. The growth demonstrates a 25% year-on-year increase
with the turnover of the commercial teams growing between 50 and
75%.
