Four join Browne Jacobson as firm continues to expand
13 October 2008
Browne Jacobson’s growth continues apace with the appointment of
four new fee earners at its Birmingham office.
Mark Daniels and Sara McNeill, both from
Wragge & Co, have joined the firm’s rated Intellectual Property
team of 12 as a Partner and Associate respectively. Mark spent
eight years at Wragges where he advised on many contentious IP
cases including the two recent widely reported patent cases between
Nokia and InterDigital concerning the essentiality of patents to
mobile telecommunications standards.
Sara will officially join the team in November
after seven years at Wragges. Described as a ‘rising star’ by Legal
500, Sara’s considerable experience spans various IP matters with
clients including the MoD, Aston Martin and Marks &
Spencer.
Other new recruits in Birmingham include
Solicitor Faizal Bhana who joins the Banking Team from Hadens
Solicitors and Associate Jim Tait who joins Employment from
Shakespeare Putsman.
Brian Smith, Managing Partner at Browne
Jacobson, said:
“We are delighted by all these new
appointments. Despite the challenging economic conditions being
faced by many in the sector Browne Jacobson is continuing to look
for opportunities to expand. Our new recruits will add significant
strength in depth to what are already very impressive
teams.”
