Double win as Midlands law firm appointed to two health panels
9 June 2009
Birmingham law firm Browne Jacobson has confirmed its national
reputation in healthcare following double panel wins.
The first is a three year re-appointment to the National Health
Service Litigation Authority’s (NHSLA) non-clinical advisers panel
which handles all non-clinical claims against the NHS.
Nick Parsons, Head of Insurance and Public Risk at Browne
Jacobson, said:
“Browne Jacobson is now one of only six firms in the UK to be on
the new NHSLA panel which has been reduced from nine firms. Our
re-appointment is a ringing endorsement of our expertise in this
field and the calibre of work we have delivered.”
The second panel win is an appointment to the Yorkshire and
Humber Commercial Procurement Collaborative comprising 32 NHS
Trusts. The firm is one of just six on the prestigious panel and
the only Midlands firm with a full service offering to the NHS that
has been chosen.
Melanie Print, Commercial Health Partner at Browne Jacobson
comments: “As the health sector evolves with new legislation,
medical advances and increasing competition, our large dedicated
health law team continues to work closely with our clients to meet
those challenges. This panel will give us more exposure to NHS
trusts in the North and strengthen the firm’s growing national
reach.”
Browne Jacobson acts for numerous NHS Trusts and local
authorities across the West Midlands and is recognised as having
one of the country’s leading healthcare practices by independent
legal directory Chambers.
