Browne Jacobson maintains top spot in latest Legal 500
rankings
23 September 2011
Browne Jacobson has maintained its position as one of the
pre-eminent law firms in the Midlands according to the latest
edition of independent legal directory Legal 500.
The 2011 edition confirms the firm’s pre-eminent status in the
East Midlands after it was awarded the highest ranking possible in
22 areas, ten more than the next best performing law firm in the
region.
In the West Midlands the firm improved on its 2010 position in
all of its four areas – EU & Competition, Corporate Commercial,
Construction and Property Litigation.
The firm also improved in rankings for London in Health,
Personal Injury and Education. Its Administrative & Public Law
and Commercial Property work was also recognised for the first
time.
The directory also ranked eight of the firm’s partners as
‘leading individuals’ in their field. They include:
Nottingham
- Gavin Cummings
- Mark Blois
- Nigel Blackwell
- Edward Benson
- Caroline Green
- Mark Snelgrove
Birmingham
- Sarah White
- Matthew Woodford
William Colacicchi, Senior Partner at Browne Jacobson,
commented: “We are delighted that such a prestigious publication
has applauded us for our strong regional credentials and growing
national presence in so many areas. We operate in a competitive
market place so to continually improve our position year on year is
a tribute to our teams and the service they provide clients.”
Legal 500 is one of the UK’s leading independent reviews of
legal service providers. As part of the ranking process researchers
seek feedback from both clients and peers, to gauge the performance
of firms. Firms are then ‘ranked’ in tiers by practice area.
