Browne Jacobson adds ten as firm targets further growth

Law firm Browne Jacobson can announce ten new legal appointments
across its three office network as part of a major expansion
drive.
The appointments follow on from a successful twelve months
during which the firm generated turnover exceeding £35m and
announced plans to expand its Nottingham operations by moving into
60,000 sq ft of space at Mowbray House.
The ten appointments cut across the firm’s four core sectors -
corporate, health, insurance and public sector. In addition, the
firm is retaining six of its trainee solicitors on completion of
their training contracts this September bringing the total number
of lawyers at the firm to 301.
The new appointments include:
London
- Associate Michelle Leonard joins the firm’s Construction &
Property Risk team from the Real Estate Disputes Team at Taylor
Wessing. Michelle is an experienced contentious real estate lawyer,
having acted for a variety of public and large private property
investment and development companies, fund managers and high
net-worth individuals.
Nottingham

Associate Paul Simpson joins the corporate team from HLW
Commercial Lawyers, Sheffield, specialising in mergers &
acquisitions and group re-organisations.

Andrew Needham joins the firm’s corporate team from Eversheds in
Nottingham where he recently qualified.

Solicitor Anja Beriro joins the firm’s public sector team from
Sheffield City Council where she specialised in commercial
contract, public funding, procurement and project matters as well
as local authority governance issues.

Ruby Jhita is a newly qualified Solicitor joining the
Construction & Property Risk Team from SNR Denton
Birmingham
- Associate Jonathan Hayden joins the Commercial Health team from
Mills & Reeve. Jonathan has extensive experience advising
healthcare commissioners and providers on a variety of contracts
and projects.
- Newly qualified solicitor Priscilla Wan joins the firm’s
property team in Birmingham from Rosenblatt Solicitors,
London.
- Solicitor David Toulmin-Van Sittert joins the firm’s insurance
and public risk team from the Claims Solutions group at
Beachcrofts. He is an seasoned personal injury litigator with
extensive experience of handling small track, fast track and multi
track claims, particularly in relation to investigating fraudulent
activity, indemnity issues and medical causation.
- Rebecca Richards-Highfield joins from Keoghs. She is an
experienced personal injury executive, specialising in counter
fraud and defendant personal injury claims.
- Legal Executive Nisha Sandhu has joined the personal injury
team from Buller Jeffries.
