Peter Westlake
Partner
Peter is partner at the firm's Nottingham office and heads the
construction and engineering group. He has over 27 years experience
in the construction and engineering industry dividing his time
between private practice and industry and joined Browne Jacobson in
May 2000.
He specialises in contentious and non-contentious matters along
with professional indemnity and has experience in dealing with
building engineering and construction contracts, adjudication,
arbitration, litigation and mediation. In addition to this, Peter
acts on behalf of brokers and insurers in relation to claims
by/against architects, engineers, surveyors and design
contractors.
Had he not worked in the legal profession, Peter would have
continued in the construction industry but opted for a career as a
property developer. Work aside, Peter is a family man whose
interests are cultural in terms of art, books and music and sit
alongside his more active interests of golf, walking and
squash.
