Kate Parkes
Solicitor
Kate is a solicitor with the firm having joined in 1999 as a
legal assistant. She is home grown talent having gone through the
firm's trainee programme. She is based at the Nottingham office and
specialises in construction law.
Kate has worked for a wide range of clients in the construction
and engineering industries including advising on mediation,
adjudication and arbitration and developed a sound knowledge of
the industry including the specialist procedures and processes
used.
She has carried out work on contentious and non-contentious
matters including drafting and advising on contract, appointments
and warranties and has dealt with professional indemnity claims.
Kate has also contributed to articles produced by the
department.
Away from work, Kate occupies her spare time with sport, playing
football in a league and cycling regularly. She also undertakes
more relaxing exercises such as yoga to balance her high level
activity.
