Jonathan Newbold
Associate Solicitor
Jonathan is an associate solicitor with Browne Jacobson at its
Nottingham office. He joined the firm as a trainee in 2001 before
qualifying in 2003.
Jonathan specialises in professional negligence, financial
services and commercial dispute resolution. He frequently acts for
insurers in defending claims against financial advisers, I.T.
professionals, solicitors, accountants and management consultants.
He also advises insurers on policy wording and coverage matters and
has first-hand insurance experience having completed a six month
full time secondment with a leading professional indemnity
insurer.
Jonathan regularly helps clients in the financial services
sector and is very familiar with resolving disputes through the
Financial Ombudsman Service. In addition to this, he advises on a
range of commercial disputes and also provides non-contentious
advice on Financial Services Authority regulation. He also helps
clients resolve disputes concerning pensions and has considerable
experience of dealing with claims through the Pensions
Ombudsman.
Out of the office, Jonathan spends his time playing golf and
following the fortunes of Nottingham Forest Football Club.
