Nicholas McDonald

Nick obtained an MA in History from Cambridge University in 1999
and became an IT consultant, before switching to law and
undertaking his academic legal training at Nottingham Law School.
He joined Browne Jacobson as a trainee in 2004, joining the firm’s
intellectual property department in 2006.
Nick advises a wide variety of companies in relation to disputes
involving copyright, patents, trade marks, passing off, registered
and unregistered designs, breaches of confidence, database rights
and IT.
Nick has a postgraduate Diploma in Intellectual Property Law and
Practice and often speaks on intellectual property issues.
Away from work, Nick enjoys jogging, going to the gym, reading,
and listening to music. Nick also plays piano and sings in various
bands, writes his own music and recently recorded a cd.
