Andrew Hopkin
Associate Solicitor
Andrew is an associate solicitor at Browne Jacobson's Nottingham
offices having joined the firm in 2001.
He specialises in regulatory work and has advised upon criminal
prosecutions on behalf of clients such as English Nature, and local
authority planning and environmental health departments. Andrew has
considerable experience of conducting advocacy in Magistrates
courts and has also represented clients at both inquests and
planning inquiries. He has defended a number of large private and
public bodies in connection with Health and Safety investigations
often involving fatalities and is usually involved at an early
stage of the investigation. Both clients and colleagues benefit
from Andrew's loyal nature and the fact that he is a team
player.
Away from work, Andrew looks after his two young children and
enjoys mountain biking provided it doesn't involve too many
mountains! He is also a keen follower of Rugby Union.
